Dump The Scales March 2025

Dump the Scales March 2026
18th April, 2026 | Trafalgar Square, London | 10:00-13:00

We are taking to the streets of London once again! Will you join us in solidarity for all affected by Eating Disorders?

This march is about raising awareness, but it’s also about so much more. It’s about making a stand, calling out systemic failures, and pushing for the accessible, inclusive and timely support people deserve.

Eating disorders are among the most serious and life-threatening mental illnesses yet they have been overlooked and underfunded for far too long. As a result, they now have one of the largest treatment gaps in modern healthcare.

Right now, too many people are waiting for help. Too many are being turned away. Too many are deteriorating while services are stretched beyond breaking point. Families are being left to cope alone. Clinicians are trying to save lives in systems that are underfunded, under-resourced and overwhelmed.

It’s our fourth year running, and while there’s been some progress, there’s still a long way to go. That’s why showing up matters. Every single person helps build momentum for real change.

This march is a meaningful way to stand united against eating disorders, raise awareness, and show support for those battling these illnesses. It’s a place of hope, solidarity, and connection. Don’t just take our word for it - check out a snapshot of the day from the last two marches here.

Meet the Speakers
We are proud to introduce the incredible speakers joining us at this year’s march.

This year’s line-up brings together a powerful range of voices - from people with lived experience and carers, to clinicians, psychotherapists, researchers, and nursing students, alongside organisation founders, advocates, and presenters. We are also honoured to welcome voices from across public life, including a Member of Parliament and a Member of the House of Lords, helping to amplify the urgent need for systemic change and greater understanding.

Together, our speakers will explore and speak to a wide range of eating disorders, including Anorexia Nervosa, Bulimia Nervosa, Binge-Eating Disorder, Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder (ARFID), and Orthorexia.

Signposted Support
Dump the Scales CIC are unable to provide individualised support or medical advice.

We have created a guide with a selection of signposted organisations that you can reach out to for guidance.
We have included a mix of organisations from Eating Disorders, general mental health and some of the high risk groups for eating disorders such at LGBTQIA+, marginalised ethnic groups, disability and neurodivergence, addiction, parents & guardians, and financial insecurity.
We always want to hear about more work being carried out by organisations to support mental health - so if there are any organisations you think we could add to the list in the future let us know!
